ITime for my real vacations. For these ones I didn't want to drive like I did one year ago and I was curious about visiting the land of JFK.
I wanted to rest and the bitter cold was the perfect excuse to stay away from the streets. I heard good things about the Boston Aquarium and I decided to pay a visit. This aquarium is located along Boston's scenic waterfront.
The first thing that you see is a playful penguin pool. Then you start to go around a 4-story glass ocean tank that houses a coral reef display plus a variety of fishes, sharks and sea turtles.
The aquarium is not as large as the one in Vancouver, I saw all the main attractions simply by following the spiral structure around the Giant Ocean Tank. I saw a few exhibits tucked away in the building corners.
Myrtle, the giant sea turtle
Something nice about this aquarium, is the the campaign to save stranded turtles on Cape Cod. This is a very common phenomenon during the winter.
However, in general terms I don't think it's worth to spend your hard earned money in visiting this place.
The John F. Kennedy Library and Museum is dedicated to the memory of the USA's 35th president and to all those who through the art of politics seek a new and better world. The Library's purpose is to advance the study and understanding of President Kennedy's life and career and the times in which he lived; and to promote a greater appreciation of America's political and cultural heritage, the process of governing, and the importance of public service -- sounds nice on writing, isn't it? --
If you have read (or remember if you are from an older generation) about the day JFK died, you may find that visiting this place is a moving and uplifting experience.
The only hope for America!
The library's museum offers three theatres and twenty video presentations, as well as permanent exhibits on Kennedy's life, legacy and indelible imprint on the United States history.
Presents for the President
Exhibits include rare film and television footage, family keepsakes and treasures, and historic documents showing Kennedy's path from presidential campaign trail to his ultimately death.
Presents for the President
Through the footage, you can experience the first presidential debate from behind the studio camera, and attend Kennedy's response to the country struggling against racial segregation.
You can also view new frontier film and relive the celebratory time when the first astronauts landed on the moon.
