Finally, after some minor problems I was able to start my vacations. One of my dreams has been to drive around The United States and to know some of the places that I used to see in books when I was a kid.
A quick goodbye to Canada before crossing the border.
Peace Arch Monument
Heading to Seattle I found the road very windy. On Seattle I headed East on Highway 90. Part of this highway goes through the mountains, the visibility was not very good.
On Snoqualmie Pass I stopped for more than one hour. I lost the count of the cars out of the road. In some points I have to use the 4WD to go ahead of some cars having a hard time.
In one point I helped a lady to get her car out of the snow. Seems that the the shovel I use to carry was quite useful. This guy was lucky, his car stopped a few centimetres from the barrier.
A quick "emergency" stop after crossing the pass.
Before the pass the highway goes through Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Even with the bad visibility I was just imaging how beautiful the views are there in Summer time
Once you crossed the Pass the highway goes through Wenatchee National Forest. Here you can find some places for skiing and cross country.
